Using Metallic Flake
Please choose a Metallic Flake size offered in each flake offered to determine the ideal particle outer-dimension for your desired aesthetic and functional parameter. The Metallic Flake size chart depicts geometric Flake particles in hexagons, squares and rectangles as small as .002″ (fifty micron) to as large as 1/8″. You may print the pdf of the Flake size chart on standard office paper and it will show to scale, helping you to determine the correct Flake size for your intended application.
Polyester Metallic Flake
Each Polyester Flake type has unique properties. The description of each flake will spell out any limitations it may have. Not all are solvent resistant but all are UV resistant. Why use it? Polyester flake is a very versatile flake. They can be mixed into things, many are fine with solvents, water-based paints and clear coats. It is gorgeous, and comes in lots of colors and types. We carry a wide variety of sizes and mixes.

Why not? Polyester flake can be expensive! If you can afford to use it and it fits your needs then go for it. Not all polyesters have the same properties. There are limitations! Read the descriptions of each flake before purchasing. We are not responsible for incorrect usage.
Crushed Glass Flake
What are the properties of glass flakes?
100% Crushed Glass Flakes have a large aspect ratio and they do not oxidize or corrode in the normal sense, NO PET / MYLAR FILM. They are totally impervious to moisture vapour and, being a synthetic material, they are consistent in composition and colour, and unlike mica they are not stepped.
